First Chicago Insurance Company (FCIC) offers insurance coverage for drivers who operate their vehicles for rideshare or delivery-related purposes. If a vehicle is used to work for a company such as Uber, Lyft, or another Transportation Network Company (TNC), the driver most likely will need additional TNC rideshare coverage to fill potential coverage gaps while working.

Personal Lines:

• If a vehicle is utilized 18 hours or less a week for TNC purposes (ridesharing) and/or delivery, the Part Time TNC and/or Part Time Individual Delivery endorsement(s) must be purchased.
• If a vehicle is utilized more than 18 hours a week for TNC purposes (ridesharing) and/or delivery, the Professional TNC and/or Professional Individual Delivery endorsement(s) must be purchased.
• Rates for these endorsements will also vary depending on if liability-only or full coverage is selected on the vehicle utilized for TNC and/or delivery purposes.

Commercial Lines:

• If the vehicle is leased from a fleet owner for TNC purposes (ridesharing) and/or delivering for other companies, the risk is written through our Commercial Lines Public Transportation Car Service Program.
• All fleets are written through our Commercial Lines Public Transportation Car Service Program.
